The Common Council, also known as the City Council, is the elected legislative body of the City of Butler.  The Council hears and passes ordinances that become law.  The Council often initiates local improvement projects and is responsible for allocating funds through the budget approval process.

Common Council Meetings

The Butler Common Council meets the first & third Monday of every month at 7:30 PM in the Butler City Hall at 120 West Main Street.  The public is welcome and encouraged to attend these meetings.
