The Legionnaires of Post 202 are dedicated to preserving the memories and incidents of our Great Wars. Each American Legion member has taken an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic. Butler Girls Softball League (BGS) is an independent, non-profit organization committed to providing players, ages 7-18, with an opportunity to play softball while developing athletic skills, team dynamics, confidence, and leadership through hard work and dedication.
BGS is determined to help create exceptional softball players ingrained with an understanding of the skills, fundamentals, and heart of the game and use softball as a catalyst to build a strong personal foundation in character, integrity, and education.

The Eastside Area Community Foundation, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to improving the quality of life in the eastern side of DeKalb County. For 20 years, the foundation has awarded scholarships to children and participated in various community projects. The Filling Station Youth Center is located at 315 South Federal Street in Butler. Children 5 and older are welcome to participate in activities at the center. The Filling Station has a BMX bike course, basketball, roller skating, billiards, volleyball, foosball, air-hockey, ski-ball, board games and pinball. The center is staffed entirely by volunteers and funded through grants and business donations. Open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Fridays from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The Fort Disc Club is a dedicated and energetic group of disc golf enthusiasts in Northeast Indiana. The have worked with the City of Butler to construct a disc golf course in Maxton Park.
